The city council of Madison, WI, stated that July 19th will be celebrated as “DakhaBrakha Day”. It’s the city where the Ukrainian ethnic band played its first concert in the US.

Mayor of Madison Satya Rhodes-Conway said, “DakhaBrakha has produced songs from many different regions of Ukraine, to showcase Ukraine’s cultural diversity and challenge Putin’s rhetoric that Ukraine has no culture of its own.”
“We’re touched to tears! By the way, you can celebrate wherever you are. Слава Україні!” the band reacted.
DakhaBrakha had a big tour for the twentieth time in North America. The first concert was held in Cleveland, and exactly on July 19th in Madison.
