On August 30th, Zhadan i Sodaky (Zhadan and the Dogs) band began touring Europe to raise funds for the Charter battalion of Kharkiv. On September 2nd, the band was scheduled to perform in Milan, but the club’s representative, where the concert should’ve been held, canceled it.

Milan Club canceled Zhadan I Sobaky’s concert for support of Ukrainian Armed Forces
Serhii Zhadan, the frontman, posted this information on Instagram and the chat’s screenshot as well. Here’s what the Slaughter Club’s representative wrote:
“I’m sorry but it’s illegal in our country to make a concert and raise money for war. I’ll send back the money and cancel the gig. We can’t do anything or we will get arrested.”
Serhii Zhadan answered that this is a charity concert, and funds are raised for cars, not for weapons. The club’s representative stated that “this is not what you wrote in the Facebook event” and that they can’t take the risk.
“Some Europeans still play in pacifism and double standards, and clearly believe that by defending their lives and country Ukrainians violated their views of peace and harmony.
And those who try to support their brethren in a struggle against rapists and marauders are fascists and extremists”, the band’s leader comments on the situation.
The next gigs of Zhadan I Sobaky will be held in Germany: on September 1st in Munich, on September 4th in Frankfurt, and on September 5th in Hamburg. You can look at the full schedule and ticket details here.
